The Happiest Man on Earth by Eddie Jaku

I just finished reading the Happiest Man on Earth by Eddie Jaku. I was utterly engrossed by every word and some pages were left stained with my teardrops.

Having finished reading this admirable memoir in one sitting, all I can say is please get yourself a copy and read it! It is powerful, heartfelt, gut-wrenching and beautiful.

Honestly, my words will not be able to do justice to Eddie Jaku's words so I am going to share some heartfelt quotes from The Happiest Man on Earth:

'Family first, family second, family at the last'

'If you have the opportunity today, please go home and tell your mother how much you love her'

'Without friendship, a human being is lost. A friend is someone who reminds you to be alive.'

'... happiness is something we choose.'

'There is no medicine for your morals. If your morals are gone, you go'

'Where there is life, there is hope. And where there is hope, there is life.'

'With a simple act of kindness, you can save another person from despair, and that might just save their life.'

'Happiness does not fall from the sky, it is in your hands.'

These quotes in context of Eddie Jaku's writing got me right in the feels. I highly recommend reading The Happiest Man on Earth for inspiration, for hope, for love and for kindness.
